PRACTICAL

The
examinations last approximately from 5 to 30 minutes depending

from the syllabus. The examiner will test the candidate's
knowledge and understanding of the current syllabus. Questions
will also be asked of previous levels, which must have been
covered by the candidate.
Candidates
are expected to provide their own instruments and accompanist(s).
An accompanist may be provided in exceptional circumstances.
There will be a charge for this service. Taped musical accompaniment
is allowed for folk and modern dance only.
Only
the accompanying musicians are allowed in the examination
room and they may only remain in the room for the portion
of the examination for which they are required.
Vocal

If the harmonium is used only standing notes (sur daba ke)
Sa and Pa or Ma can be used. In accordance with the syllabus
the student must show that he/she is able to tune the tanpura
from year 3.
